2. Environmental friendly materials
Existing plastics

   - Existing plastics are synthetic resins that are not easily oxidized or degraded. They have excellent durability but cause environmental problems.

   - Continued rise of plastic prices with time due to rising oil prices in the middle of depletion of natural resources
Environmental friendly plastics

   - Small molecular compounds such as HO2 and CO2 in the aerobic microbial environment such as bacteria, germs, mold and algae.

Bio-degradable plastics

   - Biologically degraded into water and carbon dioxide or water and methane by microbes existing in the nature such as bacteria, algae or mold

  - Partially degradable plastics manufactured by adding bio-degradable substances such as starch to non-degradable universal plastic resins (PE, PP, PS) 

Photodegradable plastics

   - hey refer to plastics that degrade by sunlight in the form of photooxidation or keton photodegradation. They do not degrade while  cost buried underground

4. Bio-degradable plastics

Spurring ourselves to develop bio-degradable plastics that reduce high polymer wasted into small polymer compounds such as water and CO2 against the stricter environmental regulations in Korea and Europe

PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) is a biodegradable plastic produced by separating starch from corn, fermenting glucose and condensing lactic acid.

PLA resin is approved by KFDA, US FDA and other similar organizations in Canada, Germany and Europe as non-hazardous material and does not generate hazardous substances to human body such as dioxin when wasted.
5. Commercialization of EcolGreen Bio-Polymer

Existing biodegradable PLA has weak vertical strength, lack of UV stability in the air and difficulty to maintain quality due to low water absorption of 0.5%, and is fragile to be used as universal injection molding materials. So it cannot be used for universal purpose.

Ecol Green Bio-Polymer raised impact strength equal to those of ABS and PC and lowered water absorption from 0.5% to 0.1%, which is better than ABS (0.3%), thus providing basic physical properties for universal purpose.
